It was a lot of buildup, but I still think a regular sized issue would have sufficed. Kind of a nitpicky thing, but I noticed this didn't have nearly as much plot as the others. THE BAD: -I think this may have benefitted from a shorter page count. That was an explosive and incredible ending. I love how we know what's coming even though the characters don't. This issue built up to its finale wonderfully. The one that is used honestly doesn't even feel like it should be. ![]() Comic book price guides, like Overstreet, have a MINIMUM price. I think with a world like this, a tight continuity really helps, especially considering how different each of the series are. This issue did a nice job tying in with Marauders, the other best Dawn of X book. Maybe he's found a writing style that works for him, or he just likes writing these characters better than the other heroes he's written. I'm not a Ben Percy fan but so far he seems to be doing well with this series. I like the way the characters are written here. That was a solid opening! It grabbed my attention nicely. Never heard of Cassara before, but he's doing great here. Maybe my favorite Dawn of X book yet, if I'm being honest. A great issue that immediately sets up and succeeds at it's premise. Conclusion: Man, X-Force has started with a bang. Seeing as Hickman said publicly, he wants death c liffhangers off the table, this is done with purpose. Coordinated and may I say, lucky? Their skin gives that away but I think there's some Domino in play here. The group that attacked Krakoa (the script says CIA but it could be out of date) were great to watch. It's something I've been wanting ever since HoX/PoX. Really interesting speech from Logan and it's true. and city authorities in coping with the force of Maryland have been sent to The. ![]() Already groups are reacting to Krakoa as they should and it's something that I'm deeply intrigued by.
